Manufactured from a unique 2.5 layer fabric researched and designed by Sub Zeros own textile engineers, this lightweight windproof ripstop polyester fabric incorporates a highly breathable membrane layer to keep you dry on the inside and on the outside when worn.

Waterproof jackets however are not totally rainproof unless the seams are protected, which is why these jackets have all their stitching sealed with a waterproof and breathable lightweight tape to prevent water penetration.

It is not just the fabric that makes a great waterproof jacket, but also the design and construction. We have incorporated into our lightweight waterproof jackets a number of features to improve their performance without adding unnecessary weight or complication.

For a start, the main water resistant zip has a two-way puller with a waterproof and windproof reverse baffle that includes a fleece chin guard. These water resistant zips are also used in the two large hand warmer side pockets.

Our constructed hoods have a reinforced peak and are fully adjustable using the elasticated cords on either side of the face opening in combination with a Velcro backed tab on the reverse. This allows these waterproof jackets to be used with and without a climbing helmet.

Soft elasticated cuffs seal your wrists from wind and water ingress, and is also used on the contoured hem and back-drop for a closer fit.

Silver reflective logos on the chest and hood on the front of these waterproof jackets, and a reflective strip on the back provides extra visibility in low light situations, helping to keep you safer.
